I believe that, if everyone did the work they love, we would create heaven on earth. The more time we spend in our zone of genius, the happier we are.

Before I started my business, it seemed like an impossible dream, to make a living from those things. In fact, a lot of things seemed impossible. I thought I’d be stuck in my boring job, my bad marriage, and my unsatisfying life forever.

What’s more, I felt like a brat for not being more grateful for what I had. After all, it wasn’t a bad life. Tons of people had it way worse than I did. So, what was wrong with me?

It’s ok to be unsatisfied with a just-ok life.

It’s ok to want more. It’s ok to have goals and dreams and desires that are unreasonable. Unrealistic. Big.

And it’s ok to outgrow things that used to be your biggest dreams, and replace them with new ones.

I’ve done all that on my journey here, and I hope you will, too. When I started 17000 Days, the coolest dream I could think of was to become a blogger. Then I started writing books. That grew into publishing my own books and publishing books for clients. I learned to launch books to bestseller and use them to start an empire.

Now, my dreams are bigger than ever before… and it's so much fun building them and watching them come true.

Meet Cara.
